Quite clearly, I am aware that you get irritating, aggressive nobodys in all walks of life. I'm NOT suggesting that christians are the only group that do it.
But in this instance, where the chat is mainly composed of atheists and christians (not entirely, but mainly), it is only the Christians who claim to live their lives in a Christ-like manner.
Atheists can still be ******* too, and in equal numbers, but atheists don't claim to be Christ-like in their behaviour, and then go on the war-path with their furious replies to some people's questions.
A lot of people over-looked this and went straight on the defensive for their religion.
To all those that did provide a good answers before however, thanks!

In response to Michelle:
Of course Christians are human.
Every person on this earth, regardless of their religious beliefs, is just as important as the next one.
I have no idea where you think I am suggesting otherwise.

So let me ask you this, Just because a person is a Christian, does this mean that they are Less Human?
Do they not have anger, pain, compassion?
A Christian is just as human as the rest of the world and are prone to the same Personalities as the rest of the Human Race, regardless of Race, Religion, Sex, Money...etc.
Edit: OK, but your insinuations tend to be just Christians, because we feel or act like we are Christ Like(Not I, I will never be able to fill His shoes). Yes you did point out there there are Atheists who tend to be *******, as you put it, as I said, Just because a person claims to be a Christian, does not mean that they are not human. Jesus Himself, begged God to take away what was to be done to Him, and He is Christ. (hope this helps)

for one i give my answers straight and the way God spoke the truth. when it comes to being Christ like people mess up i have made my share of mistakes being a Christian and i am sorry but sometime people have to be told out right and to the point and if nothing is said as a Christian God will deal with us and we will have to answer why we did not let the people know the truth. so don't take it to heart or get offended listen and read the bible because this is
Basic
Instruction

Leaving
Earth be blessed and love those who hurt you.

I missed your original post(just read it)....Christians should not be using personal attacks in defense and the sharing of the Gospel....or pronouncing damnation of soul, name calling or other un-Christ-like comments.....I agree.
Personally,I have to watch my self,as I can allow myself to be provoked(occasionally) into a witty and somewhat cutting smart-alec comment...This is very rare for me. I do however, try to add harmless simple humor, often times, to make a point.

I would have a problem with someone who says they live their life Christ-like. We couldn't possibly. We can try but will fail miserably each time. Hence, we need Christ in the first place.

Attack has always been a christian tactic. Study early church history. They feel a need to defend their faith. There is no more fragile a faith than the one that needs defending. It hits them where they live. They feel the ground being yanked out from under them and it literally frightens them. They deserve our pity and compassion.

It is a poor interpretation of Christian philosophy to assume that defending their religion is un-Christian-like.
Even Jesus' followers had swords.
I'm not Christian, but expecting a Christian to remain silent while someone tries to misrepresent their religion, use false logic, or otherwise abuse them is foolish and unAmerican.
They have free speech. They have freedom of religion.
I don't have to defend their religion; just American values.

Did you know that in the New Testament, it speaks of Children of GOD (they got Born-Again) who do not Renew their Minds (in their Souls) and keep on sinning and become WORSE than when they were first Born-Again?
No, there not Lost, just Act Worse than Hell.
Ditto.

i think when you've adopted a hard and fast set of unprovable beliefs, it's probably pretty scary to be challenged
and fear usually leads to agression
i do believe that atheists and agnostics have much less to lose

because they are human. and over history have made up a god who is obviously based on human idelogy and fallicy. Thogh the bible has good references to moral (few but they are there) there really isnt a supernatural jesus to fill their hearts with the love of jesus and that's just the fact.
