I wanted to see what my new signature would look like. Plus it was fun dreaming of the future. :)

Not until after I was married. I just never thought about it.

I did practice about a dozen times in the front of the journal I had when I got married...but then felt really stupid.

haha No, but I work in the wedding industry and I'd say about 50% of brides do practice their new name.

I had a bride in my office a couple months ago who must have been 20 years old. I kid you not, she did not know how to spell her new last name! What a knucklehead! LOL

no, not really. right after we got married though, after the honeymoon, i sat down and wrote my new name a couple hundred times in a row to get used to it. and i have never once forgotten and written my old name by mistake, so i guess it worked.

The bf I have now (for 8 years), no. but, were not getting married.

You better believe I did. I kept my own last name as a second middle name and took his last name so that our family could have a shared name......

Gotta tell you it looked pretty good written out and it still does!

yes, all the time, we met in college so instead of taking notes I would doodle various versions of my name with his, although my maiden name had better alliteration:p
