No. Death is a natural part of the life cycle. The human body is only designed to live for so long. If you could live to be two hundred years old, could you imagine what state your body would be in by then, and how miserable you'd be? I do not fear death. However, not being a big fan of pain and suffering, I hope it comes to me as gently as possible.

If I discovered beyond a doubt there is no god or after life. there wouldn't be any reason to be afraid of death because death would not exist.

I dont think I would be afraid. I almost died in a car wreck in November and I honestly cant tell you the calmness that came over me when I felt death was so close.

The more there will be nothing to be afraid of. No one will ask you about what good have you done or did not do or even neglected to do. And it means you were just born in order to die afterwards instantly, early or later in your life.

That is the problem now. We are the only creatures on the planet that is so full of ourselves, we have created our own gods, our own versions of an afterlife and our own rules for having the best of both. Now I ask you and your religious friends. Is this ignorance or ego?

Nope. I've never been afraid of death.
If we live and die, and that's it-no reward for good or punishment for evil-then what's there to fear in death? We just have a few fleeting moments of pain, if that, then...nothing. Why would that frighten me?

Impossible question, but I'd go insane from worry and probably do several unmentionable things before going out in a blaze of glory.

Well than its a mighty good thing that my Faith is so strong that i shall never have to worry about a thought like that.
but just to answer your question, no i wouldn't, because i believe that animals on this earth never see life again. and so i think it'd be the same for us. So basically, once you die, that's it.

yes. i would be afraid to know that my life would be over and never again would i see the people that i love and care for.
