It is not safe for a 10 yr old dog to get pregnant. Please have her spayed or keep her away from male dogs.

The first time a dog has pups should be after she is 2 yrs old so all health checks can be done. While an old dog can have pups it is not a good idea and just may kill her. She should have been spayed long ago to help her live longer.

She CAN have puppies, but it would be VERY bad and risky for her, and the pups. It is risky enough in younger dogs, never mind senior citizen dogs!

Your dog is 70 in people years.....Would you have a child at that age? It could pose alot of health problems for her, or the pups. You could lose her and the pups.

Not before two years or after 8 years with two heats minimum between breedings.

Totally agree with Ginbark on this one. 10 years old is too old to have pups. she should be sprayed so she can live out the rest of her live with out any more heats.
