I hope this is not the 10 yr old dog you were talking about. Take her to the vet. He will run tests. Hate to say but if she is it may be better to spay her and abort the pups.

Depends on the dog - if she will be still enough not to need sedation, then an X-ray (about $80) can be taken at about 50 days into the pregnency. An ultra sound test is a bit pricier but can be done a little sooner.

cost very clinic to clinic. pregnancy tests are available but costly and don't give as accurate a result as human tests do. Personally I use ultrasound but that is only effective until a specific time and x-rays can't be done until about the last week of pregnancy. and it sounds like this was a oh well pregnancy do you even know the tie date?

There are three ways to determine pregnancy in canines:

1) X-ray (~$40)
2) Blood Test (~$30)
3) Ultrasound (~$200)

Hope this helps!

There is no pregnancy test available for dogs because they don't release a different hormone like women do when they become pregnant. A normal gestation period for dogs is 63 days. You'll have to wait and see what happens.
