I don't think that exists. They don't want to learn how you think, they just want to learn ways to attack you - I guess they don't know that its all been done before. How else is it that I see the same circular line of questioning in here from so-called theists? It IS CIRCULAR theists, and you know who you are... Surely you have begun to understand how your intellect falls short of understanding by now...
If the definition of intelligence is the ability to learn new things, what is its opposite? The inability to learn new things?

Interesting how someone who 'genuinely' asks such a question regards the question at hand as a sneer. I wonder if 'theist sneers' are exposed so readily by such a genuine person...
Laptop got any names? I am not challenging you on this; I genuinely want to know...

At least there is some honesty in these recent answers...
how revealing of your motives
<...spewing and answer....> offended easily are we? Easily offended people instantly make me question their 'genuinity' ; Did they not get the answer they were looking for? Did something make them question their own beliefs?
<...proselytizing their lack of belief...> proves my point. Incorrect assumptions leading to complete lack of genuinity.

The Cricket... I just glanced over it; sounded genuine to me. I will try to get back over there and put in my two cents!

pugwashjw... if I told you that some book I found, say, on engine maintenance, is considered it to be the ONLY reference on a subject, past present or future, how genuine would you consider me to be? Your response isn't even worth considering...

I've learned from talking to atheist that they are incapable of intelligent thought, they seem to have permanently closed their minds.
If you don't believe me feel free to ask them something that requires them to think and you'll get a lot of crap for answers.

Yes there is such a thing as a theist who does not want to convert and is genuinely interested in the person. I've met a couple of very nice ones from this board and I can talk to them even about their beliefs and mine without each one of us offending the other.

As a "theist", as you put it, I would ask an agnostic a question on plumbing, if he was a plumber, or any other trade or occupation.
But NOt on biblical matters.
For that I go straight to the final word, the Bible.
I am sure and positive the Bible was written by inspiration by God himself , whereas agnostics...are not so sure.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17) All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17Â that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.

Is this an example of an atheist asking theists a genuine question?
Or maybe this is: What is the bigger gamble, believing in God or not believing in God?
Questions usually are looking for answers not spewing opinion.
Edit: You do know that genuinity is not a word right? Perhaps you meant disingenuous or genuousness?

And THIS "question" hasn't been asked a hundred times...?yes, all "theists" are lacking in intellect and Atheists are sooo smart. Of course the ONLY LOGICAL choice is to only believe in things there is physical evidence for. And how many "genuine" questions do Atheists ask or answer???

You already know this but let's just go over it again. When people are brainwashed they are conditioned to think, believe and say the same things over and over again. They do this to occupy as many brain cells as possible so that there aren't any left over to have an original thought or a unique perspective or even have the ability to consider another person's perspective. They are spoon fed lies every minute of the day and they wash them down with fear. So to answer your question - no.

Truth is, I don't care what you think. I've read and studied etc .. ect .. and I can think for myself. I don't need you to SAVE me any more than I need Jesus to SAVE me.
I will not try to convert you, as you are not worth my time. We all believe what we believe and science does not scare me and has never challenged my beliefs as a Heathen anthropologist.
I do, however resent that fact the atheists who really don't belong in a religion and spirituality board (with a few exceptions) come here to proselytize their lack of belief.
I don't like it anymore than I like being awaked on a Saturday morning by a Jehovah’s Witness with free literature.
Your beliefs are beyond reason and I do not care to reason with you. I've wasted too many hours doing that in the past.
I would prefer you go play your G-dless games elsewhere.
--
Yes you do come here to proselytize your lack of belief.
Atheism is a missionary religion. See the pathetic, yet very real atheist master plan here.

Yes! I've answered hundreds of questions by genuine theists wanting to know.
There are a few good ones you can count on. I agree, the vast majority just wants to get up in an Atheists grill, however.
((edit)) Dog Sneeze, Ramjet and TTC ask genuine christian questions. (They also get silly and ask questions about corn dogs and bran muffins, but don't we all?)

I beg to differ. Is this not a genuine question? I felt that it was, I really wanted to know:
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ag9Z8pFNPK8vUikf8aDNYB_ty6IX?qid=20070515071652AAw4Zr1
And as I said in my comments on the question, the purpose of the question was not to convert, but just to learn. I like to know peoples' "stories"...and the answers I received told me that the atheists on here are exactly the same as I was.
