Pray just like you said,

"Lord, I would really like to have this job. If you think I can make a difference at this school, and if it is YOUR will, please help me.

If not Lord, please give me strength to deal with the disappointment. But then Lord, please lead me to where YOU want me to go. Help me be open to Your will.

Amen."

Prayer has never been shown to make a damn bit of difference, indeed the opposite is usually true because subjects who pray tend to spend less time preparing...

You should really spend less time praying and more time getting ready for the interviews, coming up with a gameplan, devising your best qualities, preparing yourself for challenging questions, making sure you're not too nervous and generally make yourself ready to market "brand you." You also want to be persistent, go in there and inquire about the job or your interview, you can even bug them a little, but go often to show them how much you really want it.

If you're put on the spot with a difficult question, being prepared is your best bet, prayer will only hurt you in the long run.

EDIT:

Ok, some people are telling you that if you don't make it, it's god's will that you not make it. One person said she couldn't follow her dreams because she felt "god wanted me to be a missionary." Don't fall for that, that is just people excusing their own failures. Take responsibility for whatever happens, own it, it's the only way you'll grow. And be persistent as I said, don't give up because you think some imaginary friend wants you to work at McDonalds. :p

Prayer is not a gimmick. Even Jesus prayed three times in the garden of Gethsemane that a certain cup might pass from him. It did not. The real purpose and the nominal purpose of your prayers are at variance. Basically, God's will WILL be done. You really want this job but what you really should want is that this job is God's will for you. It's Gods will that should be your prayer...whatever the job. Having said that, God wants your dreams to come true so keep praying that this job is God's will. If you don't get this job you must know God has something even better for your life!

Start clipping coupons, and actually try to accomplish things without stressing if you are praying enough, praying and meditating might help with some of the stress. What about college kids trying to get in the NFL is praying going to get them in or hard work?

Well, your pray for me... I will pray for you.... Its really hard. See I wanted to be a DR. but, God wants me to be a missionary so I must do his will. I have to pray that maybe it will arise that I can be a medical missionary. I know that we often don't even know what to pray. He knows our hearts and our needs... we just must call out to him and he will take care of it all. It may not be the way we would want it to be exactly but.... its what God wants.... if you catch my drift. I often find myself wondering why things happen the way they do. Is there not any other way to get through this? I ask. I will pray for you about this teaching job- in the meantime and forever serve him in all that you do! Pray for me too! Love and Prayers, me!

How isn't about your words. It is about your heart.

What do you want this job for? God wants to know; he already knows, but he wants to hear you articulate it.

What will you do with this job if you get it? How can you use this job to serve others? He wants to know about that, too, even though he knows your gifts better than you do.

God is your closest, dearest, most intimate companion. Knowing this is true, why don't you spend some time with him in exactly that way? Let go the words... let your heart do the praying.

That's why you pray for what you do. And it sounds like you did pray about the job. I just hope you didn't pray because you wanted it because prayer and God doesn't work that way.

You've done your part by praying to God. Just wait on Him and believe on His Word. For nothing is impossible for Him to do. But yet, God knows what's best for you and may His will be done. I pray that He gives you your heart desires.

Since god answers everything with a yes, no or maybe you might as well ask your dog for a teaching job...

First, is it really fair to the other applicants if you get the job only because somebody prayed for you?

Besides, doesn't god already have a perfect plan? Are you going to ask him to deviate from it?
