A woman at my job gets married in less than a month to a guy she's only known for six months! I think it wierd and silly, and desperate! Sorry for those that do.

It worked out well for my sister. And I, myself, am not a Christian and I married my husband 6 weeks after we met....28 years ago! Not of desparation there either! We didn't meet over the internet. Sorry, but when the right one comes along you know it. And certainly don't need people like you to put a damper on things. Do I detect some jealousy?

Actually, I have several friends who met and married after having online relationships, and they're doing fine. I've noticed that in some cases, these marriages have outlived some of the more conventional ones. Then again, there are always the horror stories about online relationships, so it pays to be careful...although there are plenty of horror stories about people who met under real-life circumstances, too. Anyway, from what I've seen, marriages between people who've met online can actually work out well. There's no religious prohibition that I know of against it.

Who cares HOW you meet a person? The question is what keeps two people together AFTER they've met. And is there some rule in the Bible about not meeting people on-line?
