I agree. There are some religions that would take quite a lot of faith to become a devoted follower of. There's even a so-called "religion" that believes we were created by a giant spaghetti monster.

There are good and bad in most religions...some are more "far-fetched" than others...but only to those that choose to believe something else...
If ANY religion satisfies a person's "spiritual need, then for them, it is NOT far-fetched at all...
and if you are a person that claims that he is self sufficient and does not need a "formalized" religion...
that belief is closer to Buddhism and Hinduism than not...
what ever floats your boat...
or doesn't
as was said by an ancient Greek "to thine own self be true"
anything else is just opinion

That's because you don't understand the concept (Buddhism and Hinduism). They are the most simple and respectful religions. Love, Learn,Teach, Inspire and a love for God. I think Christianity is too pushy, Islam is very very devout and Scientology is crap.

Just about all of them, really. And it's not just the metaphysical claims; it's the absurdity of the logic. Christianity is certainly way up there. "A big invisible man created you, then sacrificed himself to himself to correct a mistake he made himself."

buddhism - burning idols to a non-deity to attain luck, there is no truth?
hinduism - deities favor race? there is no truth?
scientology - one with the universe?
maybe it's just because I don't believe that the natural rules the spiritual or that the universe itself means anything
