Put the leash up behind her ears on the most sensitive part of the neck. This way she feels pulls. The rest of her neck is all muscle and she will not feel a thing if it is not up there.

Pull up not to the side when she balks and keep walking. She is manipulating you through stopping. Just keep going and she will soon get past it and love her walks

Well if you dont have a sidewalk it might just be scared my puppy is 6 months and at 3 months she wouldn't walk. I took her to my moms where there was a sidewalk and tried. she walked a little a few weeks later i tried it again and she walked 6 blocks with me but i had to pick her up and carry her. when she noticed there was nothing wrong she walked all the way back with me. So no more walking just to the end of my driveway or to the end of the block. so you can try that.
or if you have a side walk. try carring a little ways and then try walking. Never pull the puppy you can injur the neck. and keep trying to use the treats. You have to reashure it there is nothing wrong. sometimes if you walk away from the dog until there is the whole leash length between you and her with a little slack it might follow but stop and wait for her to walk to you. Also if your using a retractable try using a standard 6ft leash. retractables have tension and that itself will deture a dog from walking.

Work in the house at first. Attach the leash, have a very yummy treat, and encourage the pup to take a step to you. Reward her and praise her when she does. Slowly increase the steps she must take to get the treat. Never drag her, this will cause fear and make things worse. Be patient. Sit outside with her on leash, and wait for her to walk you. Enroll in obedience classes so you can teach her in a fun way.

Ohh, stubborn little girl hey. It's frustrating, but you'll get her to go eventually. I had to get mine used to the collar first, then I'd attach a leash and let them walk around the house with it without me holding onto it. Sometimes you have to drag and tug. Or try running off in the opposite direction and let go of the leash. When she sees you drop it, she'll be more apt to run after you. once she's used to the leash and you holding it, she'll follow. Good luck, every time I try to walk my fat cat, he just freezes up and tips over. I thought it'd be like walking the dogs. I've had at least 30 in my lifetime.

I just leash break my dogs by going for a walk, they soon learn it is more comfortable to walk then get dragged. Depending on the breed she could be stubborn, you can also try letting her drag a leash in the yard and house to get used to one. Good breeders start leash breaking the pups by putting collars and short ropes on all pups and letting them take each other for a walk. Sometimes having an older dog walk in front gets them going too.

Wait until she is a little older. Then you will wish she was 5 1/2 months old again. Every time I leave the house my three dogs are at the door wanting to go with me.

i'm uncertain what you do or if something is incorrect with him. i understand that I relatively have a canine with a mushy tummy. He can no longer consume any sort of canine food. i began out homemaking his food which has performed wonders to his stools, because of fact it grew to become into as quickly as very loose, and his power stages rose dramatically. you provides you it a attempt in case you like. in fact that's a similar each time. Boiled floor/diced beef, hen, or turkey, (I relatively have used beef, regardless of the undeniable fact that some advise no longer) cottage cheese Oats, noodles, rice, or all 3 boiled or diced vegi's potatoes flax seed (for his or her coat) you may % to place a tbsp of pumpkin too that's the only factor we feed him now. a minimum of this manner, you recognize precisely what he's eating, and is lots fit than the stuff you will by utilizing from any branch save. maximum manufacturers are no longer something yet corn filler besides. in case you do purchase the in many cases happening dry food, you are going to have the desire to make confident the 1st factor is a few sort of meat, and corn or rice is a minimum of the third factor.

puppys get tired very easy. if its tired it wont walk. carry it for a while then allow it to walk. If thats not it it may be the type of collar you are using. Some dogs dont like the neck collars they need the dog harnesses. Or if u are using a pinch or choke collar try a regular one.

put his lesh on and let him walk around with it on inside the house for awhile to get used to it. then when u take him outside he may not like it alot at first but bring his favrit treat with you and show it to him to get him to walk towards it. dogs are smart it shouldn't take him to long to get the idea just make sure he knows that ur walking him not the other way around and the sooner u show him how to do this the better. on the other hand depending on the type of dog he is he may not want to walk at all. i have to lap dogs adn they don't like the idea of being outside let along walkin gon a leash. now my lab on the other hand u can't do anything better then take her for a walk.

You need to be firm with her. Get her to sit next to your side and then tell her Lets Go. Pull the lead firmly to get her to walk. If she doesn't move do not drag or pull her. Go back to where you started and gently yand the lead up telling her Lets Go again. Once she decides to walk with you tell her what a good girl she is. Hope this helps!
