It would hurt. It would cut like a knife.
But, consider this: When someone loves you, REALLY loves you, and you were meant to be as a couple, it would happen. And it would happen the FIRST go around - not 2nd, 3rd, 4th go round. What is meant to be will be so from the first time's relationship. Problems that caused the breakup will come back up again, and there are less liklihood of fresh-starts with someone with whom you already have a 'bruised' history.
Best to have a fresh start with someone new. God is probably grooming someone right now for you, and you for him. You just have to be patient and wait for God to introduce you to each other.
Let the ex-go. There's always a good reason why we call them the 'Ex's"...

I don't think you are looking for a variety of opinions as much as permission to continue seeing this guy whom you obviously still have a crush on.It also appears you have already decided to resume your relationship/affair with this guy even if the consensus of opinions on Yahoo Answers is no.I will caution you though that this can be a double-edged sword and you may be the one cut by it rather than his current girlfriend.

When he turned in an ex, he needs to stay an ex. It is a problem if he has a girlfriend. If he would kind of cheat with you knowing he had another girlfriend, don't you think he probably did the same when you were in a relationship with him? I think so. Move forward. All he intends to do is use you for sex. You aren't his girlfriend so don't let him use you like a w.h.o.r.e.

It's wrong. I know it's old-fashioned, but I just really think women have a duty to help look after other women in that way.
Plus, you sort of had your chance. Ya know? What if she's a really, really lovely person? How would you feel if it was you? Which leads me to the next point: if he's willing to cheat on her, he'd be willing to cheat on you.
Everyone deserves better than being the bit on the side.

What do you want out of the relationship? That is the ultimate question you need to answer. Before you decide, think if you were the other woman and consider your feelings if you were her in this situation. It is all on you, not him.

ur not completely over him, but he's over you, there's something wrong with that picture. i'd just get a bf of my own, and stop paying so much attention to what he's doing with his gf. Life is too short to be stressing over it.

Its really 50/50. i guess you ask yourself if he's fine with it then why not? Your not doing anything wrong he is. But really you both are wrong. You should have more self respect than to be on the sideline. But if your comfortable with being the other girl then its fine. why not. ?????
