We use a machine hooked to the trans. cooler lines and run the transmission/engine and flushing solvent 15 minutes then we push the exchange button and 12 quarts of fresh fluid replace the old dirty fluid. With out removing the oil pan. Nissan pan bolts have special thread sealer and need to be replaced each time they are removed all 21 of them.

Automatic or Manual?

Auto: Find your transmission oil pan, drain, unbolt the pan, clean the pan, put the pan back (make sure to torque the bolts), refill fluid.

Unbolting the pan is not necessary but to be absolutely thorough. You can always take it to the dealer and pay 80 bucks. This is just a rough idea on how to do it.

Have fun.
