I wanna get into modeling, dancing and acting. I need a talent agent that's in the Manhattan area. Do you know any or where I can find one. And I need head shots where can I go for those?

Okay, well if you want to try and audition for different agencies, there's alwasy an easy way to meet several big names all at once: Proscout. They deal with modeling and acting, and they're not some scam. How do I know this? Because I've been to an event, and even though it did cost money, I walked out of it with a manager in LA. Plus, you can just see their long list of discoveries on the website.
However, one thing that they preached while I was there was that the only acting in Manhattan is a few soap operas and broadway, but the modeling is excellent!
While I was there, I managed to get my hands on, "The International Directory of Model &Talent, Agencies & Schools." I also got "Film, TV & Music Directory." It gives all the big names throughout the world as well as addresses, telephone numbers, fax numbers, etc.. Unfortuntately, I'm not sure about dancing, but if you like dancing and acting, then broadway sounds great for you.
If you're interested, you should go to www.pgdirect.com. The two books will cost a pretty penny, but trust me, it's worth it. Also, I would look into Proscout.com. it costs too, but if you're good at what you do, then your money won't go to waste.

You don't contact Manhattan Talent Agents. They go to the theater to find "new talent."

If you are performing and are good, as well as, someone they don't have on their client list, they will call you for an inteview if they are interested.

NEVER, NEVER call an agent unless he or she asks you to call. Agents do NOT want to be called by actors they have never met.

Read Backstage.com and audition for showcases. When you book a role, invite agents to the production.
