If you truely believed in God then you wouldn't have any problem proclaiming it to others when asked. When you have the love of God in you then you want to share Him with others. People might ask you because they believe in God and want to share Him with you or maybe because they are curious about Him and want to find someone to share with them.

Your answer to them is a smart one because believing has nothing to do with knowing. I reply to them NO because i don't live with beliefs.
Belief is accepting some/anything as though it is true which means one can believe in somethng and be 100% wrong also it's mostly based on opinions rather than facts. But knowledge is confirmed information.
I know this much:
1. The biblical books came from influence and plagierism from ancient cultures.
2. The god of the bible suffers from human emotions which he can't seem to control-like jealousy.
3. Based on #2, we know he's not alone and also the Hebrew word for god is Elohim- a plural word. So 'god' should translate as gods.
4. In the ancient cultures, humans were the gods/ goddesses and the bible supports it in Ps-82:6.
5. Other times the sun was reffered to as god and again the bible supports it in Ps-84:11 & Mal-4:2.
My point is we are the gods cause every attribute they claim he has we can also fulfil them ,and the sun is a god too because it is the source of ourlives as a part of nature. Anything in control is a god.

Asking someone what there personal beliefs are about anything is a personal question. I never ask anyone what they believe about religion or politics. It is none of my business. I also never bring up the fact that I am an Atheist unless someone involves me in a conversation and wants me to agree with them, then I express my opinions. Personally I don't think that these things should even be a part of casual conversations.

For me, that is an extremely personal question that I only wish to discuss with close friends or family members. There are two things in life that can make friends into enemies, and they are politics and religion. Asking someone if they believe in God will probably lead to trouble if the two don't agree.

It is a personal question. 1st Amendment: 5 Freedoms, in which one is Freedom of Religion. I could not be forced to be in any religion. Asking me if I believe in God is going against my Constitutional rights. I have the right to sue, because evidently, not everyone believes in the Christian God.

Jesus said when we pray to him go in a closet where no one knows what you are doing and pray but then we are also to tell others the hope and love we have from God Jesus and the Holy Spirit and if they ask tell em how to find it too. But to just push our beliefs on others is no where in the Bible

I love it when people ask me that...in fact, I tell a lot of people before they get the chance to ask. The Lord is my life and I'll talk to anyone who wants to talk about Him!!

Sure it is a personal question. It is about your personal beliefs. If you don't know, then tell them that you don't know. That's a perfectly fine answer to the question that they are asking.

Absolutely. So personal, in fact, that it is illegal to ask that during a job interview. Good question, Julie.
