Anyone can wear a cross or a crucifix to show their faith in Jesus Christ.
If you choose to wear a crucifix, or a cross, then remember to behave accordingly. You are telling the world that you believe in and are trying to live the Gospel message.
It would be wrong to wear a cross or crucifix and then behave in an unchristian-like manner.
With love in Christ.

christians can wear crosses, some christians object to the crucifix(the cross which has jesus still on it). however in the bible st paul tells us that "we preach a christ crucified" and there are indications that crucifixs were present. you can find more about this at www.fisheaters.com
you don't have to be catholic to wear the crucifix, but if are raised in a non catholic but christian faith you might not want to or atleast learn about the crucifix so you can enlighten those who may have an objection.
again i noticed some people have offered the usual misconceptions regarding catholics. if you are interested try these catholic sources to understand more what and why we do certain things.

I don't think a cross is just for Catholics. Usually though I think the ones with Jesus ON the cross is generally Catholic.
We have a cross in our house, it is a small one, and it's not an idol or anything. It is simply a reminder of the sacrifice that Jesus made.

It is okay for any Christian to wear a crucifix/cross. It is a nice subtle, non-confrontational way of professing one's faith in Christ.
As it so happens to have developed, Catholics gravitate towards displaying the crucifix under the banner of "preaching Christ Crucified", and non-Catholic Christians accentuate the Risen Christ by displaying a cross only.
Try to think of this issue as not according to what's acceptable to one denomination as opposed to another. It's more about what's acceptable to God. He would be pleased with you wearing either a cross or a crucifix.

If you believe that Jesus died for you on the cross, then wear the cross proudly and gratefully.-Catholic or not.
Also, Orthodox, many Anglicans and Lutherans wear crucifixes. Catholic Christians believe in the resurrection very strongly and even have "Risen Jesus" Crosses.

Of course not. Many Protestants choose to wear cross jewelry as an outward sign of their faith. However, most Protestants choose to wear an empty cross (as a reminder that Jesus is no longer there, but risen and ascended to Heaven) and most Catholics choose to wear a crucifix (jewelry that depicts Christ on the cross, as a reminder of the ultimate sacrifice). The choice is really up to you.

I am baptized Roman Catholic. In my opinion you do not have to be Catholic to wear a cross. If you wear it in the understanding that Jesus is a brother, that has tried to teach us how to live, then I see no issue. If you wish to wear it out of EGO or peer pressure, then I would question your motive. Peace and Love Be with you. :):):)
