You should fix him right away. There are many benefits to neutering your dog before he is sexually mature (after 6 months old). You will avoid many undesirable behaviors, such as marking, humping, and dominance aggression.
Please call your vet and make the appointment NOW.
Thank you for being a responsible owner.

The time when a dog can breed is during puberty and after. When a male dog is 9 monthes old to a year he goes through puberty. Now would be a good time before he is a daddy dog.If you wait too long he may begin to wander the neighborhood and be gone the whole day and come back at dusk. Its best to nueter him at the age of 8 monthes before puberty so he won't so that.

Actually, males can be as young as 5-6 months of age when they can be safely neutered. Do it NOW. He can mate and sire puppies as soon as he reaches puberty; as with humans, it varies from dog to dog. You can tell if he's reached puberty if he tries to mount females in heat and seems to not have a playful veneer to his mating behavior. Also he will be more serious. Toy breeds reach sexual maturity before the larger breeds; if a friend has a chihuahua or a teacup that has reacher puberty and is your husky's age, don't think "oh he'll be starting soon" because your dog is far larger than the small dog.

Usually after 5-7 months depending on the level they mature, much like humans. The benefits definately outweigh the cost. If you want to wait just make sure you keep a close eye on him and don't let him out without you.

If you want to sire him make sure you go to a reputable breeder that is experienced in whelping and the care of puppies.

GOOD LUCK!

he could have been fixed since he was 5 months old. so you should really have it done now before youdo have problems with him

you can fix him now and i suggest you dog. He can reproduce around 8 mounts old, but when he becomes sexually mature, around 2 yrs old, he will start marking his territory. If you neuter him now that problem will be less likely to start. also he will be less likely to get testicular cancer and he will be better off. You will also be saving lives, as he can not reproduce! thanks for getting him fixed, you are doing him a great thing.
