My husband is deployed to Iraq and every week I send him the indivual packs of kool aid and ice tea...well you only get 10 packs per bok at 3.00 a box, and he uses 2 packs per bottle of water.. what i was wondering is has anyone ever used regular powder kool ais, ice tea and just measured out enough for a bottle of water if so, how much did you use. Im sorry if this sounds like a dumb question.

First of all, Thanks for your support. Too many time the spouse is forgot about.

I spent 19 months over there and consumed a lot of country time lemonade mix. As for the quantity of mix to the water bottle, it varies. I'm sure he is thrilled with your packages that you send. It may seem small to us, but over ther it's awesome.

I think the way you're sending it to him is perfect.

Thank to all the servicemembers and their spouses who are serving and have served.

It depends on what size water bottle they have, but if you get the cans of pre sweetened kool-aid, they have measurement amounts for single servings. It would be a lot more economical than using the single serve packets.

P.S. Thank you to you and your husband for his service.

What about sending the bottles of kool aid powder mix? I've seen them about 1.50 or 2.25 (depends on the week) at the commissary.

Have him use the packs that come in the MRE's. Or buy store brand if it's getting to expensive for you at home.

Sounds like the best thing to do is to get a bottle of water and start "experimenting"

measure how much is in the individual packet and then go from there...you may have to buy him a measuring spoon OR a measuring cup to complete the mission. explain it to him and he will be cool with it

its too messy to measure it out. the single serve are more convenient. just keep sending them
