If you feel you have signs of depression, you can see your family Dr. or any Dr. for that mater.
There are many treatment options out there your Dr. can help you find the right one. Whatever you do don't let the signs go untreated, it can be very serious.

Well self help is key anyways. All the shrink will do is ask you what are you going to do to change this, they encourage you to solve this, which is the way you come out of depression....I t all has to do with yourself anyways, if you like to read go to the self help section at a bookstore. Only YOU CAN MAKE IT BETTER...I get depressed also but I know that ii is all me and I'm the only one that can solve this problem...So a shrink is a waste of money but sometimes that is the only way you can come out of depression. But if you do go you'll see I was right he has you work out your own problems....The biggest help I can give you is to BE BRUTALLY HONEST WITH YOURSELF...DON'T LIE TO YOURSELF...there is a reason for this depression...find it out and solve it!!!

You probably don't need a shrink, just one of the antidepressant drugs like Zoloft, Prozac etc. It takes a couple of weeks to start feeling better but it is worth it!

Visit your family doctor and see what he/she can do for you. My family doctor did a good job of choosing the proper medication for my depression. Sometimes it takes awhile to find the right combination. Usually takes two-three weeks for the meds to kick in. Check with your city/county/state mental health services. They could be of some help. Good luck.

Check your phonebook for local councellors and ask if there are free services for people suffering with depression or your nearest health clinic.Going to a doctor would also be a good choice ,you might need an anti depressant.Good luck

There must be places where people can help you without charging.
In my country that place is governmental hospitals and clinics which educate psychology, etc. students and they spend their internships there.
They may not be very professional but they're under supervision of a professor and the benefit is they work in teams.

There should be a community doctor in your area who will provide you services on a sliding scale fee. they should be able to refer you to sliding scale counciling services. also check your municipality's weside for resources.
in the meanwhile- get some sun. do something physical. see if your local library has some self-help books. hope you feel like yourself soon!
