GUILT.
Taking your own guilt and asking forgiveness/giving restitution will bring the strength of repayment for what ever you did wrong. You will rejoice at the freedom given because you were 'man' enough to confess the guilt.
Hidden guilt brings pain and discontent.
HOWEVER,,, Jesus is the one-time rescuer. He paid the price for ALL of OUR GUILT combined. But you have to access it through asking forgiveness and accepting the gift of His payment.
Believe in God, His son and the Holy spirit for eternal life.

Its hard for us human to follow Jesus what he did for us
He said "take your cross and follow me"
this is what you are asking.
Is this your heaviest thing?
If not then . . .
Take what ever depression you have, don't give up
If still you can not then
Go to a friend, ask his/her advise
else . . .
Go back again to God, ask Him to carry some of your cross
