OF course it is. Flat ironing your hair really does kill/destroy your hair. Tips for healthy hair:

First of all use a moisturizing shampoo conditioner and leave in creme/conditioner also a deep conditioner.

Avoid dying your hair so much, it has terrible chemicals that dry and damage yout hair.

Using hairspray/gel/mousse can be very damaging

Rinse shampoo with warm water.

Deep condition once twice a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb

If you use a heat appliance (curling iron, straightener) use a heat protecter spray to protect your hair from the heat

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week.

While conditioning leave your conditioner on for about 3 minutes, use a wide tooth comb for your hair, this will reduce split ends then rinse with super cold water, this will make your hair shiny and smooth

After your out of the shower, set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdry it for about 3 minutes this will give you healthy shiny looking hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks

For shampoing and conditioning I reccome using Sunsilk Hydra Tlc it leaves your hair soooooo soft, shiny and managable

It is bad for your hair....it fries it. But if you do try to condition it a lot when you wash your hair(or leave in conditioner), or use moisture treat ment. Also you can use the products that you put in your hair before you use anything hot on it, it will help the hair from the heat and make it straighter and shinier. Another idea is just to blow dry it on warm or cool or use a diffuser so when you put it in a hair tie it wont look as bad.

VERY.
if you're gonna keep doing it, you should deep condition your hair just as often.

i know this great recipe for a treatment and i think you should try it:

Hot Oil Hair Treatment

21 min 1 min prep
Change to: treatment US Metric
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
2-3 drops essential oils

Put honey, oil and essential oil in a plastic bag.
Twist but don't tie.
Pour boiling water in a mug.
Add plastic bag to mug until it warms up.
Apply gently to wet hair.
Don't pour it on your head, put the mixture on your hands and apply to all of your hair.
Wrap up your hair with a showercap, a towel or cling wrap.
Jump in the bath or shower.
Wait twenty minutes, then rinse and wash hair normally.

it worked on my spiderweb of a hairdo, it should work for you just fine! =)

Yea sorry to say this but it is. Try blow drying it. It doesnt give you the effect of stick straight hair, but if you do it properly it should. Also ask your hairdresser for spray that makes your hair less damaged by heat.

yes. that's good that you do give it off days.. just make sure you have a really good conditioner and use a leave-in-conditioner. sometimes i try to let my hair air dry, so its less heat damage.

your see changes ..i do.
