I don't think any of these answers are addressing your budget -- if you're only looking to spend $5000-5500, you're not going to get a Civic, let alone an Accord.
If you want something 2002 or newer for that price range, you'll have to look domestic, such as the Chevy Cavalier or Malibu, Ford Focus or Taurus, or Dodge Neon. Of those choices I would go for a Taurus, Malibu, Focus, Neon, and Cavalier (in that order), but it really depends on what characteristics you're looking for.
As long as the car's been properly maintained, you shouldn't have a problem hitting 150k miles in any of them. Don't listen to the naysayers -- modern cars have improved their reliability significantly across the board.

A good Taurus, Focus, Escort, Cavalier, Civic (if you can get one which has not been raced), Corolla.
Look in autotrader.com you can get good cars there.
By the way, the make of the car doesn't matter a lot, I know people who spend thousands in civic cars, just to discover that they were POS that had been raced and painted.
As somebody said, you can run 150k and even 200k with no problems if the cars is well taken care of.
A mechanic or a friend who knows about cars should go with you.

I have a 2002 Toyota Camry with 90K and would say it's in top condition. I change the fluids regularly and follow mfg. instructions to the letter. I don't know its' value but I wouldn't sell it!
