I do the same. I blowdry and straighten my hair daily. It's pretty simple to get you're hair soft and healthy. Here is what I do. Dont wash it everyday. Do it everyother day. Your hair needs the natural oils. When you wash it, your stripping them out, causing it to be coarse and dry. Which is more than likely what is causing your breakages.

Also let your hair air dry. Try to avoid the blowdryer as much as possible. This adds additional dammage. As for straightning, use a creme or serum. I use redken smoothing milk. This works wonders i promise.

Oh and Buy Aussie 3 minute miracle. (moisture)
This is really cheap. and it does sooooooo well. I use this, and its made my hair soft, silky, NOT fizzy, and it smells wonderful.

Also a little tip to make your hair shiny. Right at the end of your bath/shower rinse your hair if really cold water. It really works.

Hope that helped.

First of all use a moisturizing shampoo conditioner and leave in creme/conditioner also a deep conditioner.

Avoid dying your hair so much, it has terrible chemicals that dry and damage yout hair.

Using hairspray/gel/mousse can be very damaging

Rinse shampoo with warm water.

Deep condition once twice a week

Avoid combing hair while wet, use a wide tooth comb

If you use a heat appliance (curling iron, straightener) use a heat protecter spray to protect your hair from the heat

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week.

While conditioning leave your conditioner on for about 3 minutes, use a wide tooth comb for your hair, this will reduce split ends then rinse with super cold water, this will make your hair shiny and smooth

After your out of the shower, set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdry it for about 3 minutes this will give you healthy shiny looking hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks

For shampoing and conditioning I reccome using Sunsilk Hydra Tlc it leaves your hair soooooo soft, shiny and managable

I also reccomend a hot oil treatment like Alberto V05 it will reduce you from getting split ends by 70%

Yes as a matter of fact there is. If you only wash your hair every other day, the natural oils form your scalp can help get the hair under control. Also Dove shampoo for damaged hair works wonders. You can also try to reduce breakage by blowdrying your hair before straightning to reduce the stress of the straightner. Hope this helps babe. :)

Don't wash your hair every day, and don't use a strong shampoo.

Do use a nice heavy conditioner every day. Everything Pantene makes is excellent, and not nearly as expensive as salon brands. Leave-in conditioners are good too. Don't be afraid to use both. I like the leave-in made by Fructis, also affordable.

Go easy on the straightener -- anything with heat like an iron or a hair dryer just wears the hair out.

Take a good multivitamin, eat well, exercise, etc. I have no proof of this, but healthy people have healthy hair.

1.) Get any split ends you may have trimmed off. No matter what a product claims, nothing will repair split ends except a trim. If split ends are left uncut they will continue to split farther up the shaft and damage more of your hair. Get rid of them to keep the damage to a minimum.

2.) For moderately damaged hair, find a good quality shampoo and conditioner. Choose products specifically for dry/damaged hair.

3.) Try shampooing your hair less. Washing your hair every day can strip natural oils that help protect the hair and keep it looking and feeling healthy. Try washing your hair every second or third day to maintain a natural moisture balance.

4.)Try using products such as a proteinizer and
reconstructor if you have extremely dry hair. The proteinizer will strengthen your hair while the reconstructor will work on a molecular level to replace what your hair is missing.
5.) Try using styling products with added shine enhancers, such as silicone. They will give your hair sheen and help protect each strand against the damage of heated styling tools, such as blow driers and flat irons.

6.) Give your hair a break from the heat. Try using styling tools such as blow driers, flat irons, curling irons, and hot rollers sparingly. Whenever possible let your hair air dry either completely or most of the way and only blow dry to finish off the drying process. Try using your flat iron or hot rollers only every second or third day, which will be easier if you don’t wash your hair everyday. Just touch up in the morning instead of going through your entire styling routine.

7.) Once you finish styling your hair, spray on a shine spray product to combat dull hair. You will only need two to three quick shots, so this product will last a long time.
8.) Regular trims are a must. Visit your stylist every four to six weeks to have the very ends trimmed to avoid your hair’s ends splitting.

9.) If your hair is still looking dry and dull, try having a semi-permanent hair color applied by your stylist. These colors are ammonia free and won’t damage your hair. They simply coat the hair shaft, making them appear smoother and shinier. A darker hair color can also make hair appear healthier.

10.)Don’t want a new color but want the shine? Go for a glossing instead. This clear coat for your hair will give you the shine and smoothness of a color but won’t change your natural hair color one bit.

11.) Be good to your hair. Obviously it got damaged somehow so try to avoid a repeat performance. Avoid too many chemical processes, such as colors and perms, and avoid other hair wreckers such as chlorine, sun and tight elastic bands. Switch to semi-permanent colors, lay off the perms for a while and cover up your hair when in the sun or pool.

Hope this helps!

You should use the hot oil treatment the first week and then go get your ends cut and, buy an intense leave in conditioner for dry or processed hair, it is easy to find at Sally's. for this to work you should not iron you hair for the second week. this is what i did and it is how it used to be when i was a child. But i cut down on the use of the iron.

I have REALLY thick wavy hair and I too straighten it everyday. I use herbal essence shampoo & conditioner. I was every 3rd day and get my ends cut every 6 months like clockwork. You wouldnt believe the complements I get on my hair. So, thick conditioner and routine cuts should work!

I'd instead have healthful however they each appear nice. It relies on what appear you are going for that day. The curly hair is probably not healthful, when you consider that a curling iron and hair merchandise have been used.

You can try doing a hot oil treatment once a week, and taking a serious multi-vitamin from a health food store (not One-A-Day or Centrum).
But you will have to stop straightening it for it to be silky and shiny. What's wrong with it being curly?
