I know for a fact that many Christians are intelligent, insightful, and learned men and women, and no doubt some of them are readers of Q&As here. Why oh why do you stand mute and not speak up when beyond-the-pale, snivelling, geeky nit-wits here give your religion a really bad name, with their pointless juvenile babbling and hate and un-Christian, Dark Ages ignorance? Do you care for your faith so little?

Brett, I am not a Christian, I am a lifelong nonbeliever. My question to our Christian brothers and sisters could be addressed as well to my fellow atheists, some of whom treat atheism as if it were a religion, which, at least to me, it is not. I am not a professional atheist; my rejection of even the idea of gods and all that are scarcely vital or imporant to my life and, at 71 and disabled, my work in the professional theatre.

Whose mute? There's a time to voice and there's a time to be quiet. Christians know that non-believer's will hate us and the Truth because they first hated Jesus. Persecution comes in many forms and if you are a true Christian it will be a part of your life, and even more incresingly as the days progress. Our faith in Christ has stood for thousands of years through much persecution and we will continue to stand ever taller regardless of the hateful words. In fact, they only make us stronger. Praise the Lord!

Obviously, you don't care for it very much either. If you did, you would remember that YOU are not the JUDGE of anyone else. YOU would not be name-calling. YOU would not be insulting. Perhaps YOU need to remember that Christians are called only to judge Christians, per the Bible. Everyone else, according to your Bible, are judged by God.

I would bet cash money that the reason they don't say anything is because they don't want to be seen as being like you and others on this board. They don't want to represent their religion as one of bigottry, intolerance, and rudeness.

They are right - and you are wrong. You will never convince anyone to Christ in the way you propose everyone approach what you perceive the problem to be.

Well I would have to say that alot of those questions are not even worth our time and energy to answer and they are not really wanting any answers from us they just want to start a upset in religion. When going through a mall do you stop and set every one you see that may be giving a bad rep to religion no you let them be and you thank God you are a sinner and that you are not worthy but you pray in his name Patience and wisdom should guide your passion for Christ

The average age on yahoo is about 12 so we get tired of policing other peoples answers.

I do try to point out that Creationists and Christians are two different things.
And that God loves All people, he just hates what some people do.

The answer is that even intelligent, insightful, learned Christian men and women do not know how to answer an inquiry that might question their faith. It's not that they don't care for their faith, they do, they just don't understand their faith enough to give an intelligent answer.

Freedom of speech knows no level of ignorance.

I feel sorry for the true Christians who come here... it must be a pain in their hearts to see people who call themselves Christians have diarrhea of the mouth.
