I want to make sure the chicken is juicy so can I boil them in chicken broth for about 30 minutes and then add it to the rest of the ingrediants for the casserole?

Sounds great! Check them @ 20 minutes the first time and if still not done, check again @ 25 minutes......What else goes in your casserole?

I have a tip. Don't boil the chicken, simmer it SLOWLY in water or flavorful broth. Crank up the heat to bring it to a boil and then turn it way down to medium low, slap on the lid and come back in about 30-45 min. Your chicken will stay nice and tender, and it should keep more of it's juice that way. If you boil chicken too fast it gets dry and tough.

There is several different ways to boil the chicken breast. I prefer to boil mine in chicken broth and add your favorite seasoning. I boil mine 20 minutes and check to see if it is done enough to be placed in the casserole dish. (Please note if your making a casserole that will be baked you might consider under cooking your chicken, since there will be more cooking/baking time once your casserole is in the oven). Good luck to you.... Hope you and your family enjoy your casserole!

Peel the skin off then boil it for about 45 minutes to an hour depending on what kind of stove you have set on medium. Good luck with your casserole!!!!

Hello,

Don't boil chicken!!!!! It will do nothing to add flavor to your dish.

Broil, Bake, or Grill......................................

Either one of those cooking methods will add mountains of flavor to your dish instead of boiling. Evan if you boil your chicken in some stock it will still be dry. Proteins that are low in fat will extrude their liquid first, than they will absorb some, but that process take a lot longer the 30 minutes.

Hope this helps......................

30 Min's is too long how about 20 Min's and let it cool before chopping or shredding.
