These men of (dis)honor have read books about combat and war, spent a couple hundred dollars or less on their uniforms, ribbons and medals and told some very interesting stories,
Put their necks out on the line facing embarassment, fines and jail/prison time.
don't they deserve something?

I read a recent newspaper article about a FAKE war hero, who supposedly won the Congressional Medal of Honor. After his ruse was discovered, he received a prison sentence. So, it would appear that there is a law against pretending to be a war hero.
I think we should tie the FAKE hero up in the local VFW and let the real heroes deal with the scoundrel.

Those people like Jesse MacBeth...

You cite one person and then continue as if this is a common phenomema and that there are lots of people doing this.

Jesse MacBeth (A.K.A. Jesse Al-Zaid) is nothing more that a terrorist sympathizer. Tried to get in the military (for what reason I thank God we never found out) He was busted out at Bootcamp. Then he waged a terroristic Media Jihad to try destroying the reputation of our soldiers.

He needs to spend a long long time in prison.

And you want to give him something for his "risk" he took? I doubt you are being sarcastic as the rest of your 360 page and your screen name here is just as anti-American and sympathetic to terrorism. You need some prison time too.

Anyone who has been in combat, or worked in a combat zone can tell immediately whether someone is BSing. One was caught last year in Georgia presenting himself as a highly decorated Marine. Embarassment is the best answer. I have a neighbor who is what we call a wannabe.

Real combat vets do not often brag about their service. They will tell you they were in the Army, Navy, AF or Marines, but they will not go into details and certainly will not tell you of heroic deeds.

My wannabe neighbor tells me he was in Vietnam, but can't tell me where he was or the terrain. I spend a lot of time just goading him to tell me more. The problem is that his story is always changing.

To be a good liar, you have to have a very good memory and be able to remember who you told what lie to.

They do have a special get together for them. It is called the Democratic National Convention. This is where all liberal Democrats gather to tell lies about there accomplishments.

I think they need to spend some real time at the front or if they are too old, have them do community service at the big military hospitals where real Soldiers are recuperating.
