Well if a pig took wings and buzzed my house ... I'd believe in flying pigs.

Well, I'm not really atheist or agnostic, but neither am I a Christian.
But anyway, IF the rapture happened yes, I would believe in Christianity. I would still think the Christian God was extremely unfair in how He set up things, because most non-believers are that way because the Bible is so barbaric. Not to mention many are culturally inclined towards different belief systems. But if there was finally proof that Christianity was right I couldn't really argue with it. At that point I would probably try to convert but it would be because I would fear for my life not out of true love for the Christian God. And if that didn't work, oh well. I did the best I could... maybe hell with non-believers is better than heaven with believers and their ogre of a God.

Silly question. That rapture isn't going to happen. I wish you guys would get over that one. You do know the word "rapture" isn't even in the Bible?
EDIT: at least I have read the Bible. The rapture may or may not be a Biblical truth. Depends on who you read. It is an if-y thing to hang your hopes for the future on.

NO where in the Bible does it mention the rapture. Go ahead and try and find it.
BUT, if for some reason it did happen it would only prove to me that god can't do anything right, because if he (or she) did "it" right in the first place then there wouldn't have to be one.

I do believe in God. The only apocolypse that I believe in is the one that you are manifesting by continuing to belive the nonsense you learned in the bible and at your church. You know I have seen that same exact question asked 1000's of times now. You people are so programmed and brainwashed it is unbelievable. Do you ever think for yourselves? Don't you understand that what you focus your thoughts on is what you bring into reality? Even Jesus showed us that when he needed fish to feed the masses. His thoughts were focused on feeding everyone and he manifested enough fish for all. He didn't focus on the problem of their being more people than fish. Do you think he would have manifested the fish if he had been focusing on the lack? Wake up, you are being spoon fed lies so that you will do the bidding of your church leaders who are tied very strongly to politics and money and power. What answer will you have for God when he asks why you wasted so much time and energy supporting liars and spreading nonsense? And sorry, a yes or no answer will not do for me because my brain actually thinks beyond answers that are black and white.

The obvious answer is yes. But so what? All agnostics and atheists ask for is PROOF of your claim that a god (or gods) exist. Thus far, you and every other religious person out there has yet to offer physical, scientific, verifiable proof that god exists.
It is not our responsibility to prove that god doesn't exist - you are the one who supposes that god exists and takes a particular form. Therefore, it is YOUR responsibility to prove god exists, not the other way around.
Your demand that "a simple yes or no will do" seems to indicate a reluctance on your part to even try to validate your belief system.

Probably, if it went down as described by Christians.
But I believe there is enough disagreement between Christians to put the whole notion of a rapture into question. The belief in a rapture is a very new Christian doctrine, I wonder why God chose not to reveal it to his apostles.
I think you will find that most Atheists can easily be convinced in the existence of God, all they need is evidence. It makes me wonder why God is so cruel to deny them evidence, aparently he wants us to burn in hell?

I hope you understand that there is a such things as Agnostic Theists as well as Agnostic Deists who believe that a God exists but that they don't know who or what it is. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that if a rapture or whatever were to occur that people wouldn't believe but belief and worship are two totally different things altogether.

That would be interesting if the rapture happened tomorrow, since 'rapture' is nowhere to be found in the bible.

I guess I would have to right? I wouldn't follow it or worship it though, because that god has a lot of explaining to do!
Besides, there is a better chance of me winning the lottery than a so-called "rapture".
