In addition to some of the good advice here (aspirin, aloe vera), there are a few more things to provide temporary relief. Soaking in tempid water (NOT cold, just slightly cool) will provide short term relief). I'd try to not put any clothes on if you can help it. And if you can get to a drug store, or better yet send someone, pick up a spray can of Lanacane or any analgesic. It will give you short term relief, vs the aloe which will help you heal sooner. I would look to see if there is any treatment with Vitamin E. Those little capsules are amazingly good on small burns, but not sure how you would use all over. But I'd look to see if they have anything in a larger application.

Most of all, be sure not to get another burn anytime soon or you will really be messing up your skin. Maybe pick up some good sunscreens while at the drugstore! But for now I'd do these things for temporary relief. You'll probably have a pretty unpleasant 24 hours, and slowly improve from there. Just be sure to avoid sun and heat. Hope you feel better soon! Burns are so horrid!

I've only sunburned once in my life and it only lasted a day. So I can't give you info from personal experience. I know that the aloe plant works real well, since that's what my family uses. My cousing was lobster red one time and used Noxzema. I guess it cools the skin and helps with the discomfort. Good luck and feel better : )

Try having a cool bath with about 1 cup of vinegar or get a spray bottle and mix 1/3cup vinegar to 6cups cool water and spray yourself lightly
I was badly burned (2nd and 3rd degree) so I sunburn easily and this helps me
Don't use a cream, you just keep the heat in, Cool water is best

Here's a secret I'll give you for free. Learned this when I had a blistering sunburn (OUCH!). Buy Noxzema with aloe vera. Slab a TON of it on your burn. While the burn is covered in fresh Noxzema, you won't feel the pain. It's especially helpful when you're about to sleep. Best of luck. =)

You can try vinegar. Soak a cotton ball and lightly rub on the burn. This works best if done rightwhen you come in and before a shower so I don't know how effective it will be later. Cool compresses (washcloth with cool NOT cold or icy water) or a soak in a bath with oatmeal like they do for chicken pox.
