Soap and all other cleansers seem to dry my face out or make it red and irritated, so what I do is stand under the shower, and using a washcloth, I go in circular motions, taking off any dead skin on my face. I have very, very sensitive skin, and no product seems to work. Noxzema drys me out, St. Ives dries me out horribly, and regular soap, whether it be Dove or Ivory, burns my skin and makes it oily. This has been an on-going problem for years with me, so what I do is have my face stay under the warm water and use the washcloth to exfoliate. My face seems to be in a lot better condition when I don't use any products - anybody else use this method? Anyone else only use warm water and a washcloth on their faces?

no i don't i use netrugena deep clean cream cleanser. it works great and it doesn't dry my face out at all.

you might be leaving the cleansers on for too long if it dries your face out.

but your method is a great method and i'm glad you found something that works for you!

I would think you're not cleansing your face well with that method. Cetaphil is a good cleanser made for sensitive skin. I have very sensitive skin as well, but I have a skin condition called dermatitis. I have to use a prescription and I don't have anymore problems. I thought my skin was dry because it was dry, flakey, and irritated and I used cleansers & lotions for dry sensitive skin which only made the condition worse. Try an over the counter cortisone cream & see if that helps. If it does then maybe see a doc to get a prescription. Don't use a cortisone on your face for an extended period because it will age you. Hope this helps.

I would only try and use botanical products - which means you pay a little more then that. Even the baby line may be perfect for you but it's good to get the dirt off face and add a cream -
your face needs some moisture - or spf -
I suggest either the Arbonne Intelligence line or their baby line - all of the products are safe, pure and botanical -

Otherwise I'd only do small amounts of things the items you listed aren't the best things for sensitive skin.
I suggest Clinique or if you have to head to the drug store or store, Trader Joes - makes pure products or Berts bee.

I like Clinique's gentle cleanser - it is like a cold cream. I put it on with my hands, and wipe it off with a warm washcloth. I have some acne, and I'm allergic to everything - so I can say this works really well to take off my makeup and keep breakouts down. It also keeps my face from drying out. Good luck!

Pores do not open and close because of the fact of warmth of chilly. the warmth water makes the purifier artwork extra effectively. maximum cleansers won't even suds up in chilly water. A heat soapy wash cuts any oils you have gotten on your dermis at an identical time as those oils will react in yet differently to the chilly and you will probable sense oily not sparkling after washing.

ook your best bet is a product that cause alot of money im talking 50 dollars or higher and when you just use warm water thats not helping nothing because that only kills a lil bit of germs and when your not using any soap or cleaner your not cleaning your face and when things like that happen your face is not geting clean the proper way, it can cause bumps and blackheads to appear

my bf has skin just like yours.... i introduced him to cliniques cleansing bar and it works great.... warm water and the washcloth will exfoliate, but it will not remove dirt and oils. make sure you use a decent moisturizer.

try clinique (at any major department store: macys, robinsons may, nordstroms, etc.). the products are a little pricey, but works great!

good luck!

This is how I wash my face, too. Seems to keep it pretty clear, for the most part - except for around my jawline, I think my hair is the culprit! I do use product in that area.

I use a scrub and a cleanser in the am and just soap and water at night.

Yup, that's all I use to wash my face. After washing it with warm water, and drying it, i usually put moisturizing lotion or cream on it, and that keeps my face from getting dry. =)
