3kw heater is the limit for a 13A fuse so you cant plug anything else into that extension lead.

I would advise against running trailing cables accross the ground where people are running about and would be best if you got the electrics hard wired in at your distribution board / consumer unit (fuse board), of course, this work will need to be done or certainly certified by a 'competant person' (Part P of the UK building regulations), so perhaps easiest to get a qualified electrician to do the job.

3 Kw at 230 volts is 13 amps, which technically could be handled by 14 gauge wiring, but I'd be inclined to use 12 gauge.

For 115 v, you're looking at 26 amps, for which you would need 10 gauge wire. Out of the league of extension cords, I'm afraid.

A 3 Kw heater isn't something I'd want hanging off an extension cord anyway. Do yourself a favor and get it hard wired

If you ask these kind of questions, you are obviously not a qualified electrician.
Electricity and water do not mix.
Whoever wires this up, MUST be a qualified electrician.
Do you want people killed?
