What type of disc do I nedd to use to download photos onto that will play in a DVD player?

I have them on CD-R but cannot view them on my tv through my DVD player, and would like to. Is it the way I am saving it or the type of disc I am using?

You need a DVD disc. You will have to determine whether you need DVD - or DVD+.
