Wow, that really was rude. I would have stopped them before they ever got that far tho. As soon as they reached for my bag I'd say "Excuse me, what are you doing?". Depending on their response I'd tell them the bag was there for a reason and to find another seat.
If you need a seat, ASK.

That person had many other seats to choose from, so it was indeed rude. Plus, I wouldn't know if that person was going to steal my bag or anything in the bag. The right thing to do here would be for the other party to first ask, and then have you move the bag yourself to ensure that nothing would get stolen. It's about respect for the person's personal space and their personal belongings.

Well, I wouldn't put my bag on the seat to begin with, but if I did, that person would have me in his or her face before s/he lifted the bag off the seat, saying "What the F do you think you're doing with my bag?"

Yes! You should have told that person, you were holding the seat by placing your bag there. Next time, don't touch another persons belongings.
But next time, don't leave your bag. They could have stolen the bag instead of your seat.

yes rude... why did the person assume that no one is sitting there? pick pocketers can steal stuff in a second by just picking it up and placing it down. i would take that as a violation. and why would I (or you) want your bag placed on the floor, the person should have placed it somewhere clean.... another violation!

No way! What if he became donning lots of of stuff (super popcorn, drink, candy, and so on.) He became entitled to the seat. like various different person mentioned, i think of those adults would desire to take a seat down different than for one yet another for basically 2 hours. except there became yet another obvious spot open for him (or consistent with possibility he became sitting with 2 empty seats on the two portion of him), then i might have stayed positioned. i'm assuming that the action picture already began if the action picture tutor became crowded, so i might have additionally been aggravated to be interrupted. consistent with possibility in the event that they phrased it incredibly appropriate, then i might evaluate their grant.

Not that I carry a handbag, but I'd say "excuse me, I was saving that seat for someone who had been sitting there,"

Based on the situation, sounds like it was rude but not exactly worth starting a fight about. I wouldn't have said anything.

The person who moved your purse obviously was making a statement and disagreed with the fact that you were saving a seat. All you really could say was "I used my purse to save my seat. Did you see who moved it?" This would open up the conversation and allow the person to explain his/herself.

YES! That is very rude! Although, I would have stopped the person from putting it on the floor by saying...oh, sorry, let me take that, please!
