I'm sick of my job/career path and would like to do something that involves animals...mainly cats and dogs. I do not want to be a vet, or vet tech, or work in a vets office. What other jobs are there?

I know a woman who quit a success job in business to run an animal shelter, and she loves it. The job pays less, but she really enjoys it much more. She has some amazing stories to tell and it also sounds like an endless fascinating workplace.

Working at animal shelters, pet sitting, dog walking, grooming, doggie daycare, just to name a few.

Pet sitting, but you really need to market this in a small city and nearby citys.
