I'm not sure, but if so, you can always use shampoo, conditioner, and other products to help. =}

It's never good to wear your hair to bed in a ponytail/messy bun, because if you wear a rubber band or something that pulls the hair back, it will cause hair breakage, big time. Your scalp needs to rest at night.

I've heard it does hurt your hair, as for me I have pretty thick curly hair as is and I have a bad habbit of putting it in a bun and pony tail even when im not sleeping. I do it when I sleep too and when I wake up my hair is super poofy and straggly and ick.
What I've found helps is regulating it, one night tie it back loosely then the next night wear it down with some smoothing product in it and then switch off randomly. it sucks getting hair in your face but it's better than having crappy hair all day :)

Yes it does damage your hair by keeping it up in a tight bun. It breaks ur hair and causes split ends try braiding it loose when sleeping

What's your style and what's the occasion? You're going to a fancy dinner, ponytail is not the option, otherwise, you should go for the messy bun.

It breaks your hair, wearing a high ponytail.
Try wearing a lower ponytail to bed.
Or even a headband secured with bobby pins.
When you sleep with your hair in a bun it does make it curly...

I would spray leave in conditioner in and braid it, a bun can break your hair cuz it pushes into your hair all night.

I think it can but its probably minimal...I do the same thing..To keep it out of my face...Just use a good deep conditioner and wash your hair everyday to keep it in good condition...Cause you can wake up and take out the hair tie and have a tangly mess...Well i usually do:)
