well some people do mistake coincidences for signs because they are looking so much.

Believe what you want...things do appear like that, but it might not be from god. Think of it as the universe preparing you for whatever.

Oh yeah! That is a perfect example of why we are supposed to read the Bible as part of our personal relationship with God. God have us the Bible as our own personal instruction book from Him. It's amazing how often something will happen in normal, every day life & a Bible verse will pop into your head that fits the situation perfectly!

And, I used to let my Bible just fall open & then read what was there [I have a study Bible] & it felt like it spoke perfectly to what was going on in my life at the time. Some people will say that happens because the Bible is vague, like what fortune readers will tell you. However, if you study, you will find that the Bible is very specific & speaks to specific issues that come up daily.

Due to the fact that these
Christians use the Protestant Old Testament which is lacking 7 entire books 2 (Tobias, Judith, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus/Sirach, Baruch, I Maccabees, and II Maccabees), 3 chapters of Daniel and 6 chapters of Esther may be one of the reasons they ask catholics so many questions.

For the Sola Scriptura this is too bad .
In the 16th c., Luther removed those books from the canon that lent support to orthodox doctrine, relegating them to an appendix. Removed in this way were books that supported such things as:

prayers for the dead (Tobit 12:12; 2 Maccabees 12:39-45),

Purgatory (Wisdom 3:1-7),

intercession of dead saints (2 Maccabees 15:14),

and intercession of angels as intermediaries (Tobit 12:12-15).

The lesson, though, is this: relying on the "Bible alone" is a bad idea; we are not to rely solely on Sacred Scripture to understand Christ's message. While Scripture is "given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness" (2 Timothy 3:16-17), it is not sufficient for reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. It is the Church that is the "pillar and ground of Truth" (1 Timothy 3:15)! Jesus did not come to write a book; He came to redeem us, and He founded a Sacramental Church through His apostles to show us the way. It is to them, to the Church Fathers, to the Sacred Deposit of Faith, to the living Church that is guided by the Holy Spirit, and to Scripture that we must prayerfully look.

You'r cussing on some of the other questions that you asked too, are you angry there?

Maybe you do have a bit more Irish than you think... : > )

Maybe it runs in the blood, I have Irish too and I used to have the same problem...But don't you worry If your heart is willin' and with our prayers you can over come the sinful habit.

And that really is what it is, (a habit) I picked it up in the Navy and it took the Holy Spirit to get rid of it.

God bless ya...

The story is told of the old lady who took the lazy way out to claim her promises. One day, desperate for a quick solution, she prayed, "O, Lord, give me the right verse to comfort me," and she let her Bible fall open to what she hoped would be the answer to her problem. Her eye caught, "And Judas went out and hanged himself." No, that wouldn't do, so she tried again, only to light on "Go thou and do likewise." She prayed again and opened the good Book to yet another random page, "What thou doest, do quickly."

True growth comes from a study of God's Word, and not just finding random verses.

If God spoke to you, and "be angry and do not sin" is very much a message from GOD. Then maybe you should listen. Take that advice and ask God to give Yopu self control to not give into anger. Read God's Word more and open your mind to more of what GOD tells you.

The whole bible speaks to our sin nature. Until we release pride through Jesus Christ was are and will sin. Jesus came to take away the sin of the world; And that sin is pride. It happens to all of us, join the club.

Now that you are aware of it, what are you going to do? Continue to be pissed off or make correction. "All scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Same thing happened to me with a Stephen King novel. Now I can pick a page at random out of any book and get solid advice. It doesn't mean Stephen King is talking to me.

Yes. But dont be so sure that it was God or an Angelic being that talked to you. It could be somthing else. Ask it if it comes in the name of YHVH of Jesus

This is just one way in which God communicates with us. He may be giving you a warning. Just keep your eyes wide open. Things have happened to me so I remain alert.
