I like knowing so I can prepare the room and get clothes. I really don't like much of the gender neutral stuff. It also helps me bond more with the baby.

Yes. We found out @ 18 weeks & just had an ultrasound @ 38+ weeks, he's a boy for sure. We wanted to know, out of curiouslty, but also, we are completely ready for him. We've been ready for a few months now. We just want to be able to pay all attention to him when he is born & not on what else we need to get for him. Plus, we have purchased everything during the last 9 months, spacing it out so we have yet to feel a financial strain. We've got clothing until he's 4yrs old, diapers thru size 2's, some 3's, ALL the soaps and ointments, and swing, bouncers, hammocks, etc. Plus, we were able to do this, because we can catch things on clearance & sales.....Good Luck!

Yes, I found out with both of mine before they were born. It sure made it easier to buy clothes, decorate the nursery, etc. I can understand why some people want it to be a surprise, but I'm just naturally too curious of an individual; if I hadn't been able to find out, it would have driven me crazy! It was also nice to be able to think of the baby as "her" instead of "it."

Hi there, well i can say from experience that its much nicer to have the suprise!
I have two children one of each, i found out first time round with my boy which was nice, but second time round i didn't want to know and what a suprise it was! best thing i ever did was great anticipating right until the last minute!
My sister is now expecting twins she's having a suprise too!
Awwwww soooo exiting!! wait you won't regret it!

I wanted to know. Everyone says "ooh, wait until it's born, then it's a surprise..." but I figure it's a surprise when they tell you at the 20 week ultrasound too! And I'd rather have cute outfits and the nursery done in advance... but that's just me. :)

i wanted to know and did know for 2 of my 3 the last one was a surprise but not delibrately I think ultrasounds are more important to check the health of the baby though so you could be prepared if they find something wrong

Achrimsdale - naughty.
We wanted to know simply because we didn't mind either way. It was handy to have an idea for buying clothes, decorating the room etc.
I hate surprises anyway.
