I totally agree with you. It was, in my opinion, a little bit of a cop-out, especially for Joss Whedon (of who, I believe is an amazing writer and one of the most incredibly talented voices in Hollywood). Even with the ending of Buffy, we knew who died, who survived, and I felt satisfied. For such a good show to end so suddenly and not give any insight into what its characters were going to do after really cheated the show's fans. I know that they didn't have much time to end, but even Firefly's last episode still kind of ended it. Serenity just expanded on the universe. Angel left me unsatisfied and even a little angry.

I loved Buffy (heck still do and always will) I wasn't as crazy about Angel. I watched the first season alongside Buffy, but then It got a little boring to me. I started watching it again in syndication and I liked it a lot more. I think that Fred really saved that series. I loved the new characters, as well as the old....but I HATE the fact that they tried to get Angel and Cordy together! That was horrible, and a disservice to Buffy.
The ending was a disappointment, but to a certain extent so was the Buffy finale.I think though that I just really didn't want to see it end. I know it was on it's way to cancellation, and they quickly tried to tie up loose ends, but I think they could have done a little better. There is always still a chance that they MAY have survived though, you never know.

Yes. The episode was great, but that final moments when the credits rolled, I was so pissed. Are we to believe they all died? Did they slay the dragons? What happened to Wolfram & Hart?
The whole thing left too many questions unanswered. It makes me cranky pants just thinking about it.
I did hear that some of those questions are answered in the new buffy series 8 comic books that Joss is putting out. I don't have the funds right now to get them, but from what I hear they're definitely worth the money to have your questions answered about the endings and what's next for the buffy gang and for Angel Inc.

As an avid fan of Buffy and Angel, yes, I was disappointed that the ending didn't have closure. I was also ticked that the main characters that started the show all died by the end finale by bad guys that we saw for very little of the show.
If they were going to keep this ending, the ultimate ending for me, would have been with Buffy and her Slayers showing up to help Angel kick butt. But wasn't meant to be...

Yeah, it was a little frustrating. I mean, they had to win, right, b/c LA still had to exist. Of course, it was fitting that the humans are the ones that died for sure. Wesley, Lindsey, and Gunn was about to. Really, how long were they supposed to survive against demons. I was quite disappointed that Angel had Lindsey shot, that was out of character, and not worthy of Angel. Lorne was right.
I loved how Fred/Alyria killed that demon. It was left open for a movie, which will probably never be made, but we can hope.

Yes....It was true to the characters but it wasn't a happily or at least hope for a happily ever after. It left you knowing they were all going to die. What if maybe they changed them all into puppets stuck forever TV in a puppet version of Angel? (that was only one episode and it was only muppet Angel.)
