My niece and nephew had been taken away from their mom three times and were given back all three times. Clearly, a cycle is being repeated. I'm afraid that my nephew will harm himself, beacause he's depressed. I'm not at all happy with the response that I was given, about the mother not losing her parental rights. What does it take for something to be done about this situation? The agency that was supposed to help my niece and nephew has failed them! Help! I do not want to see my loved ones on the 10:00 news!

I am going through the same thing right now with my neighbors. I just called CPS but they have been called several times before this and nothing has been done. My advice to you is to keep calling, go down to CPS if you have to, call the police when you hear of abuse or while it's happening..................Do not give up! God Bless You. Your niece and nephew and their Mom will be in my prayers.

Maybe you can take your sister to court and try to get your niece and nephew to live with you. Tell him/her that your sister is not a stable person for the children to be living with and that you obviously have proof from them being taken away so many times. Maybe you can even get the kids to say something about how they dont want to live there or something. I'm sure you can find some way for them to live better lives.

I know exactly how you feel.My ex-sister in-law is abusive to my 4 yr old niece we have called the cops cps and no one does anything about it, it makes me sick. All you can really do is pray for them and every time you see a bruise or the abuse call cps again.Unless the child is killed or put in ICU they won't do anything its sad and very frustrating,Good luck to you,and keep bugging cps until they do something.

Have your sister (sister-in-law?) sign over to custody to you. If she does not do so voluntarily, take her to court over it. Document any abuse the niece and nephew report to you. Note physical evidence as well. Get the kids into counseling. You might also suggest parenting classes, if there is any possibility they would do your sister (sister-in-law?) any good.

Keep calling CPS AND if you can help them, you had better contact a family lawyer who can help you gain custody of them.

Why don;t you ask her how you can help her so that her children can grow up with their real mother?
