Sounds like you've been overdoing it. You can still exercise but when your body tells you to rest, you'd be stupid not to. Those are your warning signs likely from the high impact of running. Sounds like a muscle sprain/strain.

do not exercise the same set of muscles each day. This could lead to soreness. Alternate the muscles you exercise every day. Running exercises the lower leg muscles. Climbing exercises the upper leg muscles. Do rowing/weights yet another day, which helps the upper body muscles.

The rule I've heard are work it for five days and take two days off or work the muscle group for four days and take three days off. Muscles grow by tearing and healing. If it's all tearing and no healing, you will get the pain without the gain.

sounds like you are over doing it and your body cant handle everything you are putting it through. Maybe cut down a little bit....still do it but not as much...start out slow so your body can get used to it first...
