It is annoying. It's interesting how some people try to act like it's their own work by not mentioning it from Wikipedia, even though they didn't remove the Edit links from the pasting.

It's also annoying when someone asks a question about a certain aspect of a public figures life and all an answerer does is copy and paste that person's entire Wikipedia article that doesn't mention anything about what the person asked.

That's ONE of the most annoying answers one could receive. Some of the other most annoying answers are the ones from people who try to proselytize, when the question is SPECIFICALLY addressed to people who do not share their beliefs.

And ALL sides seem to do it, too. ARGH it annoys me.

Then there are the people who correct spelling and grammar, but don't answer the question. I hate seeing people do that.

Or how about where you have a really GREAT question that required a lot of thought, and someone answers it in one or two words? Especially when it SHOULD have been a more thoughtful answer?

Or how about the people who just answer the question to insult the asker and/or their beliefs?

Yeah, there are a lot of annoying answers one can receive on here.

Short answer - Yes. Long answer - since (I would like to think) most people who come here are capable of looking things up for themselves in an online resource, their questions are often asking for the opinions/experience of others, not the quotation of a fact. If I ask "do you like cats?", I am unlikely to give you ten points for providing me with an encyclopedia definition of a cat.

Maybe not the most annoying, but it is at the top. I agree, a little copy & paste is ok. But a link is sometimes much better.

Cute, blackcat3556. :)

Yes is a common English word indicating agreement or acceptance. It is the opposite of no.

That is truly annoying. I wish Y/A had a limit on how much you could put in an answer.

Copying and pasting is only annoying when Christians do it (or someone else that atheists don't agree with).

Well, at least it answers the question.

The most annoying response by far is simply a "Don't know". If you didin't know, why did you answer?
