Honor killings are NOT a religious thing... they are a cultural thing... mostly Kurds do it... or Pakistanis...
Islam doesn't allow this... in fact one of the first practices that was banned by Islam was this...

You really need to learn a few things...

1- The media LOVES to use their power to tarnish Islam in any way that they can and often they leave out pertinent information- you know, like the TRUTH!

2- There is a difference between culture and religion and what you are talking about is culture.

3-One bad Muslim does not represent the billion or more that are good and practice Islam properly. Do the actions Tim McVeigh or David Koresh mean that all Christians are bad? I think not.

4-Islam, by definition IS peaceful. Do some homework, ok?

So you take an incident that is practiced by Indians and Latin Americans as well, but you ignore that fact thinking that it's only common among Muslims, and blame all Muslims for it? What about the Hindus, are they evil too? The Spanish speaking Christians; are they to blame? No, you choose to point the finger at "Muslims" in general, even though Islam itself is against all forms of this abuse. However that isn't your concern. You're only interested in the fact that some Muslims commit this horrible act therefore it gives you justification to call out every Muslim as a potential "honor" killer. As long as it seemingly supports your idea, you aren't concerned with the facts. Don't worry, it's typical for people like yourself; so obsessed with making another culture/religion look worse than your own that you won't let a little bit of reality stand in your way.

Anecdotal evidence that ignores all other evidence is not proof of an argument. Two things:

1. This example ignores all the millions of Muslims who do NOT do anything like this.

2. This example ignores the millions of Christians, atheists, Hindus, and others who have killed people due to their beliefs.

All you have to do is examine the thousands of domestic violence incidences in the United States to see that this sort of horrible murder is not religion or culture-specific. You'll have to do better than this.

I know muslims are peaceful. We do not have honor killings in islam. It is an ancient cultural thing that some ppl still adhere to. In islam we are supposed to put islam over culture.

There are several reported cases of Christians killing their children to 'protect' them.


The vast majority of Christians are horrified by those stories.

The vast majority of Muslims are horrified by your story.


There are stories of Muslim fanatics. This does not make all Muslims fanatics and more than the stories of Christian fanatics make all Christians fanatics.

Honor killing as its called is Not Islamic, Never has been, another myth perpatraited by the anti islamic media and even alot of muslims sadly enough.
