i'm not sure that is a question, but i'll address it anyway...

global warming isn't only about how hot everything is getting. it changes the entire climate of the planet. hurricane seasons are getting worse, this past winter was extremely harsh, and this summer isn't looking too cool either... (for example: it hasn't rained in the past 2 months in atlanta, where i live). global warming destabalizes all weather, making it really hot at times and really cold at times... so think about that!

Sure. Whatever you say.

There's a big difference between weather and climate. It's disappointing that so few people are aware of this. Weather changes from day to day, week to week. Climate is the averaged weather seen globally or in any particular area. As Mark Twain once said "Climate is what we expect, weather is what we get".

As an analogy, imagine rolling a pair of dice once and writing down the results. The number you roll could range anywhere from 2 to 12, and you might come up with virtually any combination of these numbers, say 1 and 3 or 2 and 2 would both be 4. Now let's say you roll the dice a dozen more times and write down the results. Since the number with the largest number of possible combinations with two die is 7, you should start noticing that the average number rolled is somewhere around 7, like 6.23 or so. Now say you roll the dice five hundred, or even five thousand more times and record the results. Now you'll notice that the more times you roll the dice, the closer the average roll comes to exactly 7. So while you could never predict exactly what number you might come up with each roll, it's perfectly possible to show that the number will on average be closer to 7 than any other number.

Now you see why it's impossible to pin any one event down to a change in climate, like the jump from from 0C to 25C, but by taking many temperature readings over several years or decades it's very possible to distinguish a definite trend.

Yes, yes, very funny.

But the problem is, that the whole Global Warming Alarmist case is based on almost exactly the same stupid "evidence".

It is plainly ridiculous to suggest that we should be worried that it is 25C today (when it's summer) while it was freezing six months ago (when it was winter).

But it's also ridiculous to suggest that we should be worried because it is warmer today than it was a few hundred years ago, when we were in the middle of the Little Ice Age.

*Of course* it's warmer!

We are currently still emerging from the last ice age - an ice age when most of the northern hemisphere (where most of us probably live) was covered by sheets of ice over a mile thick.

One fact is undeniable: the temperature of planet Earth *never* remains stable. It's *always* going up or down. Given the choice, I'd far rather it was going up. If it gets a bit hot, I can always install air-conditioning. I'm not sure how well I'd cope living under a mile thick sheet of ice weighing several trillion tonnes!

It's called summer, contrary to popular opinion we have one every year.

The climate is always changing, this is not about it getting warmer, its about who is going to get the resources.

Its a shame they wont tell you the truth, which is that the 'cheap' energy from fossil fuels is needed to help get 6billion people out of poverty.
So we (the 2 billion) must pay for expensive power from renewables.

Politicians don't have the guts(not even the so called greens)
to tell you its about you making sacrifices to help others in need. In case you give them the finger and vote them out of their cushy life style.

If you actually check the facts the sea generates the most carbon dioxide through the process of evaporation.

It doesn't mean we aren't destroying the planet through greed, with over logging and mining, but that's jobs. The raw materials are used to make everything from the chairs you sit on to the PC you use to read this.

You want to save the planet real quick time?

Reduce population by 50% and go back to nomadic subsistence farming.

If you want to 'save the planet' and ease your conscience, recycle a bit more it wont work but it will make you feel better and counter those who will never respond.

It is nature running it's course. The world will never be the same, things are happening all the time. Think! scientific inventions, using up of natural resources, people give birth and people die....... don't worry, no one will live forever.
