I told my mom that there was no eggs, but she said I was not looking at right place, I'm confused?

Well, you stick your index finger in its butt, and feel around for the eggs, if you feel them, its a good chicken, if not its probably a bad chicken and it needs to be punished.

If you provide a nesting box then that is were she will lay eggs. If you see the chicken staying in the nesting box for an hour or so then it might be laying an egg.

Most chickens will lay between 5-7 months old.Their comb(the red top of their head) will get very red usually.If your chicken is disappearing for 30 minutes or so a day and then you hear her cackling she is probably laying, as they cackle very loudly just after they lay.She will try to lay in a hidden area.

When they make a funny noise that means they are about to or they already did.
Plus they don't want you near them while they are laying a egg.

They will slow down from their normal fidgety ways and they will cackle.... alot a whole lot!!
