More and more cities are consider adopting a ban everyday! Pretty soon there will be no more dogs left to ban! : (
I know this isnt a question, but I thought everyone should know what breeds are affected by BSL. Any comments would be great! Thanks! : )

**Moosey.. I agree, it is really sad. Every breed on that list is a wonderful breed. Some breeds are not right for some people, but that doesnt make them bad or dangerous! In the right hands, any breed of dog can be wonderful! In the wrong hands, any breed of dog can be mean and dangerous! Instead of banning breeds we need to do something that would work! Do something that will fix the problem, not just cause a false sense of security! We need to enforce the laws that we have, we need to encourage responsible dog ownership and not let irresponsible, abusive, neglectful people own any pet!... Thanks for your comment! : )

**Carrie S.. I agree with your comment. I think that there should be a limit on how many dogs can be in one home. I also think that if people want to own certain breeds, like the so-called "dangerous" breeds, they should have to go through some kind of testing to make sure they are able and willing to handle the breed. I am not saying that because I dont like certain breeds.. lol.. I LOVE them all! I own two American Pit Bull Terriers and I wish that they would make people go through some kind of testing in order to own certain breeds.

If the ignorant people of the world get their way BSL will effect almost every meduim to large breed dog. Even though I saw a lot of info on BSL on the list, laws are changing so fast the only way is for you to call the city/county you are interested in. For instance, I did not see Dade, Broward and miami listed for pit bul and pit bul type dogs and yet they will come and take your dog if you have a pit. I used to do rescue in those parts and kept one of my rescues from there. She is a beautiful little red nose that is sweet as pie. We all need to band together to counter act these laws.... Laws don't protect animal owners from other people abusing our animals, the laws don't help, police don't help. NO ONE will unless we make a stand and change the laws, inform people and they will be less likely to pass these general "ban everything that looks bad" laws. I know from 1st had experience, I lost 2 dogs and now owe over a million $ to someone and thier family who abused my dogs and then got bit. You also can not believe anything the news tells you about cases, they distort the truth to instill fear in people and make you watch the story. I have lived through it, watched the lies and I'm still dealing with the issue... 1 thing will never change for me, I will not let my babies die for nothing. I will not let ignorance and fear dictate where my dogs and I live or what kind of dogs I can have. We can't sit back and do nothing, the other side is winning so far. What are you going to do about it?

There will be more. Any breed of dog is just one bite from being put on the list. In this day and age most people expect a Benji type dog no matter what the breed. Groups like peta play up to those fears to help them in their attempts to stop pet ownership. In fact one of Newkirks stated goals is to rid the world of pets. Saying they are morally wrong. If things keep going the way they are the only place you can see what use to be pets are in a zoo. Oh wait PETA wants to get rid of those to.

Wow I can;t believe Newfies and St. Bernards are on that list. My friend has one of each. Both are very gentle giants. Just because they are huge does not mean they are bad.
Any dog can be bad if it's not treated right or not trained. What are thought to be bad dogs by some can be as gentle as a lamb. The breeder of my 4 dogs has a 130lb Rottie. Bella is the softest dog I have ever met!
How sad!

I think the only place I've ever seen a vicious St. Bernard is in Stephen King's "Cujo". Who in the world believe a St. B' is dangerous. I have a Dobe who is well behaved and no where near aggressive. I can't imagine anyone ever telling me that I can't keep her. I'd move first. The list is crazy. Fairvield, IA must be almost dog free.

This is really sad, I don't think we have any actual baned dogs but a limit on how many pit bulls you can own and another limit on how many dogs you can have in one dwelling. I don't think I would want to live in a city that was restricting the dogs that I could have by the breed.
Yet I do understand why you can only own so many dogs in one home.
