because today, i went to buy me a box of tampons and people were looking at me like was the devil herself!!!!! people grabbing their kids and quickly taking them away from the aisle.

The really sucks, but honestly I don't think that that is the reason they took their kids away from you. Many parents aren't prepared to talk to their children about menstrual cycles yet. I was told to hid mine from my younger siblings until my stepmother was ready to talk to them about it. So, I understand you are upset, but I seriously doubt that anyone still belives that old addage, b/c we shower daily now and they did not back then. Its just most likely the parents don't want to have to explain it to little Suzy or Johnny yet when they ask, "Mommy, what's a period? Well, why do you have one? What are they for?" That kind of stuff.....

I keep a good stock under the cabinet so I don't have to go out and purchase any...until it gets low of course.

I hardly think it is a sin. But when your wanting to start a family it is a disappointment.
That is the one thing I refuse to buy for my wife.
