We are all sinners, even Job. Jesus was the only sinless man.

Craig R. answered this correctly as "Pride" but his answer didn't show up here. I don't understand, but "pride" is the correct answer & God cut Job down to size in Job 40:1-14. Also Job had a spiritual problem with fear in Job 3:25 and Job 1:4-5

God allowed Satan to test Job. It wasn't that Job had done anything wrong. Satan accused God of putting a hedge around him which is the only reason Job worshiped Him.
Job 1:8 Then the LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil."
9 "Does Job fear God for nothing?" Satan replied. 10 "Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face."

Before or after ruining his life?
Job was not proud he was a humble servant of God... the mistake Job made to incur the wrath of God and the destruction of his life was being the MOST devout believer.
After Job's life was destroyed his main mistake was questioning God, although rightfully.
Satan did not pick Job, God pointed Job out to Satan and Satan did as he was assigned to do BY God, so God was the reason for Job's misfortune and to say otherwise is to relinquish the powers of God and is blasphemy!!

Job did not sin, that is why he was tested. Satan wanted God to test Job but God told Satan to do it. So Satan was the one who did all the bad stuff to Job, not God.

I don't recall reading about a certain sin. His so-called friends are to blame.

SATAN ACCUSES THOSE RESPECTING GOD OF DOING SO FOR GAIN
Job was born in the imperfections of sin as inherited, Job loved and respected God and all he did provide for man and he was very rich with many to protect him just as Abraham, but Satan Rev.12:9,10; who accusses these of acting the way they do because God provides for them, Satan thinks if God takes away all they have and turn them into the sick nothing they can be as one born in the imperfections of sin, Satan feels with all gone, no one will love God. Job continued to love God and to know man would be saved Job 19:25,26;
SAVE THE LIFE OF JOB
Job2:4 And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. 5 But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. 6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. 7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown. 8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
