and if it is bad, what harm is it doing to my body?

It isn't the greatest. One thing that is happening, is atrophy, a disentigration of your muscles. Yes, you heard right, your muscles are rotting..and you won't have much strength at all. Also, it can have bad affects on your circulation, because movement is what stimulates blood flow. You can feel numb, or really cold, because when your blood isn't flowing right, you also can have low blood pressure.

You should make an effort to do something every day. You don't have to become a body builder, but do something that you enjoy. Go for a walk down the road, find some excercises that you can do to keep you busy. I actually look through some Cosmopolitan magazines for excercises, because, surprisingly, they actually work, and they're not ridiculously hard to do..and switching it up like that is alot of fun. I even do it while I'm watching TV sometimes.

Trust me, getting your excercise now is going to benefit you in the future. When you're old, you're going to fare very badly if you're not in shape.

I hope this helps. Take care

Well, first, if you're sitting down all day, you aren't getting any exercise. So that's not good for you. Your circulation can be affected if you stay in one position too long. Some people find that sitting all day gives them back or hip pain. Others think it contributes to hemmorhoids. So get up and move around from time to time. Take a good brisk walk a couple times a day if you can manage it. And work an exercise routine into your schedule.

You should do something even if you can not go outside and do it. Clean the house of clean your room make sure the activity lasts at least 10 minutes, and you try to involve all your body parts. While you are sitting you can move your legs and arms from time to time so you feel better, and do not gain weight
If you want to work out and lift weights and do not have money fill gallon milk jugs with water. First half full, and then full and do repeated exercises with them.
