I used to, but quite honestly there are some things I do not hope for so I don't risk severe disappointment if it doesn't happen. There are definitely some things I still hope for the best though. Occasionally there are some things (such as with my mom recently) that I HAVE TO hope for the best otherwise I'd end up in the psych ward.

I do...I am, an optimist by nature. Does that mean I would carry it to the extreme of ignoring warning signs in a relationship with the opposite sex? NO. On the contrary, I would allow sufficient time in a situation and think positively, UNTIL such time I was given a reasonable doubt or concern.
Feeling positive about life, people and new experiences is mighty important to one's well being and outlook on life - but watching out for yourself, your feelings and welfare is something God gives you a brain and heart to do - YOU just have to exercise it now and again.
