Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Wall street, Brooklyn bridge, Madison SQ, Empire St, Times SQ then end with Yankee Stadium.

Problems abound with any order, as both the Statue and Empire are both best seen first thing when the lines are the smallest. Do you just want to see the Brooklyn bridge or walk it? If you don't want to walk it, you miss the best part. When is the Yankee game, is it a late game or afternoon. If afternoon then things have to change. Whatever you do, it's best to start at one end and work your way to the other. That way you are not covering the same ground twice.

Easy enough...

Figuring you'll take the NJ transit bus into NYC that would drop you off in the Port Authority Bus Terminal which is essentially the 42nd street Times Square area so the itinerary will be to navigate downtown after Times Square. It goes as followed:

1. Times Square (42nd street & 8th avenue)
2. MSG (34th street & 7th avenue) NAVIGATE EAST TO...
3. Empire State Building (34th & 33rd street on 5th Avenue)
4. Wall Street (take the train 4 or 5 train [located on 33rd street & park] to Wall street
5. Ground Zero (Essentially Church St & Cortlandt St.)
6. If time permits Statue of Liberty (last boat leaves @ 4:30 PM)
7. Brooklyn Bridge (takes a long time to cross it but it's a beautiful view of the city @ night) Located off the city hall stop of the 4,5,6 train
8. Yankee Stadium (D train to 161st St./Yankee Stadium)

go for the statue of liberty first as it takes the most time and then just move north from there... stopping at ground zero brooklyn bridge (what ever order you want.) I would leave a good amount of time for empire state building as.. as line could be long at times. Times square -- i would go during the evening/night as there is not much to see during the day...
