If we are to be tolerant of everyone, we should have some straight parades that celebrate the fact that we are not wrong. And that anyone who even tries to think otherwise is a heterophobe.

HEY! If you get it going, I'll join in a heartbeat! Let's call Disney World and see if we can have a "Straight Pride Week" down there... Well, it probably wouldn't go over too well... they'd yell out "INTOLERANCE" and then lambaste us.... talk about toleration!

I love irrational backlash arguments.

Gay pride parades happen because when you're discriminated against, it makes you want to be more vocal about your pride. No one wants to be complicit in their own abuse. I'm not even gay and I can figure that out.

Transsexuals have a 1 in 10 chance of being murdered. Look it up. There are reasons why spreading tolerance is such a big project.

If equality already existed there would be no need for gay pride parades, feminism or hate crime legislation designed to protect minorities. These things arose as a response to prejudice, hate and intolerance, so responding to them with prejudice, hate and intolerance is...redundant.

Does the St Patrick's Day parade in NYC ring a bell? They do not allow gay groups. They also stated that if a judge ruled that they have to allow a gay group to march, they would cancel the event.

Sounds like a straight pride parade to me.

There should be

There should also be:-
+ The White Music Awards
+ The White Film Festival

... and a white/straight equivalent of every other ceremony and competion that this insanely politically correct society has permitted. Anything less is inequality.

You mean to celebrate hetero sexuality?

EVERY Rose parade, ever memorial day parade, every fourth of july parade is a celebration of hetero sexuality. It mirrors the mores of our society.

,Actually I am all for tolerance but I have not see people ever be persecuted for being straight. I have however seen many cultures persecuted, many colors of skin and many religions. I have seen people with addiction problems or poverty issues persecuted and intolerated. So what is your beef you are in the mainstream obviously looking down. Being persecuted is not fun so why go looking for it!

No. You can't have any for the same reason that only white people can be racists.

Political correctness gone wild.
