If your interest is in Wiccan witchcraft, I would recommend visiting http://www.cuew.org/links.html. Their course of study is thoughtful, deep, engaging, and free of charge. I spent many years as a Wiccan (am now simply a witch), and CUEW is one of the best resources for a solitary student available.
If your cup of tea happens to be non-Wiccan traditional witchcraft (like me) I'd suggest you have a look at www.robinartisson.com. His work has been quite influential in my own practice.
If, however, your interest is simply magic and spells (not that there's anything wrong with that), there's always www.puzuzu.com for your general occult needs.
My foremost advice would be to sharpen your psychic skills before embarking on any spellcraft or rituals, lest you be seriously disappointed. Nothing to scary, just try to establish a daily meditation practice and move from there. Without laying these important foundations, you'll find that the movements and words will become lackluster after awhile.
Good luck to you, hope you find these resources helpful.

You don't need an initiation, but you probably can't call yourself a Witch right off. It's a path of study that needs to be cultivated. Try Christopher Penczak's The Inner Temple of Witchcraft. It's a very good start in learning to control your body's energies and working with the energies of the Earth and the elements. While Christopher is Wiccan, the series is not specifically for Wiccans. There are also some good lessons in Dorothy Morrison's The Craft: A Witch's Book of Shadows. I think it is aimed at Wiccans, but the exercises in it are great. Scott Cunningham is very helpful and you can just ignore the religious aspect. I haven't read Aleister Crowley's books about magick, and even though he was relatively foul as a person, we can still learn from him. You may also want to look into quantum physics to learn the mechanics of magick. Avoid Silver RavenWolf. She's just silly and doesn't seem to understand the working of natural energies. Sorry if this is mostly a repeat of what I emailed you. Silver, don't answer a question you know nothing about. Men are Witches. Warlock means "Oath Breaker." Wow some of these answers are uneducated! Rebel against Jesus? You have to be born a Witch? Are you guys high?

"Buckland's, Complete Book of Witchcraft" is a good way to start. It offers a great look at every aspect of this faith. And just like in Christianity, Wicca has "denominations" if you will. So you can understand each one and find the one that fits you best. It has some great spells and teaches you how to get started. Then once you understand our beliefs and decide what is right for you, you can either join a coven or you can practice on your own. In that case there is a book called "The Solitary Witch". That also is a great book for you. If its Magic you want, "Tarot Magic" is one of my favorite. But start with Buckland's book, You really need to know your craft before you can practice it. I have been a Witch for a very long time and I would love to answer any questions you might have

I am just starting to learn the craft, myself. I have read some books by Scott Cunningham that have some really good basic info about what a witch is and what a witch isn't. I would recommend him. I don't actually know any witches here locally so I am going at it on my own. www.witchvox.com has some good info. If I were you, I would just read all I can. But remember, not everything you read is fact.
Also, ignore the bible beating christians on here. I chose witchcraft because it's accepting of all religions. If you want to talk you can email me. My address is in my profile.
Blessings...

Start by Checking out paganwebpcola at yahoo groups. I'll give you more details there.
But honestly I think you're starting out on the wrong foot with an improper attitude and some grave misconceptions about witchcraft. There is far more to it than spells and all that nonsense. It's a religion that is supposed to bring you to communion with the god(s).
Good luck.

A lot of study for one. There are tons of books on magic floating around out there...take your pick. I'm not directing you to any Wiccan books though since you asked for witchcraft, not Wicca, which a lot of people here seem to have missed. Wicca does not own the copyright on the word Witch.
Scott Cunningham and Ray Buckland both have some pretty good beginner's books on working with the elements, candle magic, and herbs....try them first.

Study, study and more study, sweetie. You have an interest now, but you may find it isn't for you. There are plenty of great books and sites out there.
I highly recommend the following for beginners:
Witchcraft: Theory and Practice by Ly De Angeles
A Witches' Book of Shadows by Dorothy Morrison
Wicca: for the Solitary Practioner by Scott Cunningham
The Power of the Witch by Laurie Cabot
If you'd like to connect with others (not just witches), http://witchvox.com is a great place to get started.
Feel free to email me offlist if you have any other questions. You can contact me through my profile here.
Many blessings on your path,
Kallan

Oh, honey, there is so much out there to help you on this path. Read every single book you can get your hands on concerning Paganism. Your local Barnes & Noble has a huge selection of books to choose from. You can also find any supplies and books you need on eBay. I recently got a collection of Silver Ravenwolf books from eBay for the price of one book and they are wonderful. A couple other authors I would recommend are Raymond Buckland and Scott Cunningham. Read, read, read, make notes, and most important PRACTICE. If you want to find other witches in your local area, check out www.witchvox.com. If you need spells, go to www.geocities.com/freespells. It has a huge selection of spells to work with. If you want, you can email me @ lady_ravenhawk@hotmail.com and I can help you in anything you want help with. I hope you find what you are looking for. Welcome home.
Blessed be!

Depends on what you want to obtain. I think you'll get nothing material using spell and stuff. If you really want some magical try astral projection. Of course it takes a long time. But it really work. This is not magic but it give you truth magical sensations!!!!!!!!!!

It takes a lot of studying. You don't do it because you want power. You don't do it because you want to control others. You don't do it because you think it's cool.
There are many websites you can read up on and you can join some online groups and talk with others. Depends on your age really.
